Wheel Scratch Fix

This isn’t going to be the same as a professional repair, but for the price and easy of use I think it did its job. I live in a city area with those awful 90 degree tall curbs, so it’s easy to scuff the wheels. The photos (before and after) were on first attempt. You can add more coats to darken it, so I suggest starting with one, letting it dry, and seeing what you think. Don’t worry that when you first paint it’s super dark, that fades as it dries. Up close you can obviously tell the area painted, but at a glance it blends well; you have to look for it from a few feet away. Overall happy with the results! The scratches looked awful, this covers them pretty well. PSA- the paint is pretty strong, be careful on your hands…it takes a lot to wash it off.

A perfect match on my wheels! I recently purchased a “new to me” car and there was some mild curb rash on two of the wheels. I take meticulous care of my cars and curb rash is not allowed in this garage! My wheels are a tricky color, I’d tried a couple of other wheel touch up paints but returned them as the color wasn’t even close to matching. I wouldn’t consider my wheels to be anthracite color, but I decided to try that color and see if it was any closer than the others I’d tried. It was a perfect match in both color and finish, the results turned out beautifully! I wish I’d taken a “before” pic, but the “after” is impressive, you really can’t tell where the original finish is vs the touch up paint. Now to get my rear brakes and calipers done and she’ll be good as new!

Very easy to use and color matches. Used on my rims and they worked perfectly. Hard to get it started and tip dried up after use. Wouldn't work after that.

its okay if you just scratched it a little bit, if you scratched it too much it is better to look for another solution

I used this product on my gloss rims and it turned out as advertised and you can barely see the curb rash. This product is as advertised and I recommend. No, I do not get paid for this and this is my first review of an Amazon product but I needed to let the people know this is what you need for curb rash on your alloy rims. I used about 4 coats after sanding it down and it looks amazing! Don't sleep on this product saved me hundreds by not going to a shop.

The touch up paint does work and scratches are only visible when close. However, if your rim is simply lightly scratched, do NOT use the scratch pad since it sand papers the rim and greatly expands the surface area that requires touching up. Just clean the scratched areas and when dry and dust free, touch it up like you would touch up a fender scratch. The value of evening up the scratched area is not worth while.

First bought this in Anthracite as the picture looked closest to what I needed for factory Gunpowder colored 19 inch wheels on a U.S. 2016 VW Passat Rline. The color was NOT a match as the Anthracite kit was significantly darker. The color ended up being a good match for my wife's factory Anthracite 2018 Mazda3 colored wheels however so I kept the kit. I then bought another kit in Medium Silver and the match is spot on for my Passats' Gunpowder wheels. The kit worked well. Clear instructions, everything you need, quality paint, etc. Looks much better than curb rashed wheels. Just keep in mind it's a QUICK repair kit, you don't even have to take rim off. In other words don't expect perfection and you'll be satisfied with the results!

Only reason I am leaving a 4 star rating is because using the pen is very tedious and time consuming to apply, especially for very large and deep scratches. Other than that, the paint dries off very quickly and matches very well. I do like the fact it actually stays on after a car wash and any roughness of weather. Only thing I’d recommend to people is to buy a small foam brush so that you can apply the paint and the paint is blended on evenly, and doesn’t overlap the pre-existing paint below. Very good product for the money.
